Entry-level Nokia 1.3 launched with Google Camera

Nokia mobile license holder, HMD Global has released Nokia 1.3 a new entry-level smartphone that works with Google Camera (the camera software from Google). The release of Nokia 1.3 coincided with the launch of the Nokia 8.3 5G, Nokia 5.3 and Nokia 5310. The phone aimed primarily at entry-level and price-conscious customers.

Nokia 1.3 is also one of the first phones has launched with the Android 10 Go edition. It is ready to get an Android 11 update (Go edition). The Android Go edition has a streamlined version of Android 10 on board and should be provided with security updates for at least three years.

Nokia 1.3 : Smartphone with entry-level specs

The Nokia 1.3 has a 5.71-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels. Nokia 1.3 is powered by a Qualcomm 215 Chipset integrated with 1 GB RAM and an internal memory of 16 GB, which can be expanded by up to 400 GB using a microSD card. The battery of 3,000 mAh is quite decent for a device of this size.

While in terms of design, the size is 147.3 x 71.2 x 9.4 mm (5.80 x 2.80 x 0.37 in), but it is enough to provide comfort when held with two hands or one hand. Although by design, maybe not everyone’s favorite.

For photos, there is an 8-megapixel main camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. The 8 MP camera can use to record video with a maximum resolution of 720p. Thanks to the Camera Go app from Google, the budget smartphone should have some camera tricks which are only known from high-priced models. The manufacturer gives the portrait mode as an example.

In its press release, the manufacturer continues to advertise “AI-controlled low-light image fusion technology”. With this feature, the smartphone should still provide good images even in poor lighting conditions. Of course, it is impossible to say whether this is true without a test. However, With an entry-level smartphone, users should not set their expectations too high.
