The high-end smartphone OnePlus 8 Pro was announced by OnePlus on April 14. Weight & Dimension

The OnePlus 8 Pro has increased battery capacity, wireless charging, and display size. But the weight is also reduced 7g (from 206g to 199g) compare to Oneplus 7T Pro.

The size of the 7T Pro is 162.6 x 75.9 x 8.8mm to 165.3 x 74.3 x 8.5mm, which is 2.7mm longer in the vertical direction, but the width is -1.6mm and the thickness is 0.3mm.

The display size slightly increased from 6.67 inches of 7T Pro to 6.78 inches. The front camera had a pop-up type on the 7T Pro, while the 8 Pro had a punch hole in the upper left of the screen.

The AMOLED display is the same, but the refresh rate has increased from 90Hz to 120Hz. It allowing smooth screen display when scrolling or playing games. On the other hand, the brother, OnePlus 8 has a 90Hz refresh rate display, so this is a premium-only for 8 Pro.

SoC (CPU) / RAM / storage

Basic specifications are almost the same as OnePlus 8. The chipset is Snapdragon 865. The memory is the same as 8GB / 12GB. The storage is 128GB / 256GB UFS 3.0.


The rear camera has evolved from an Oneplus 7T Pro triple camera to a quad camera. It supports 3x hybrid zoom and the lens is 48MP (f / 1.75), 48MP (120 degree wide-angle f / 2.2), 8MP telephoto (f / 2.44), 5MP color filter (f / 2.4).

It is a big point that not only the main camera but also the wide-angle camera has a sensor of 48MP. Unfortunately, the actual ability of the camera is still unknown. However, the OnePlus 7T Pro had a score of 114 in DxOMark, which is close to 117 of the iPhone 11 Pro Max and Galaxy Note 10+. So I think that you can expect how good the camera is.
