TCL is a manufacturer that is famous for its cheap TV products introducing a high-end smartphone. The manufacturer introduced a smartphone series that already supports 5G networks. Prevously, TCL has released several low-cost/entry-level smartphones of its own under the Alcatel brand. Now, TCL also just showed off some of its newest smartphones at the CES (2020) event, the TCL 10 Series. The plan to release the TCL 10 series line has published since last January, but at that time they did not provide detailed specifications.
TCL 10 Series consists of three smartphones namely TCL 10 5G, 10 Pro and 10L. The specifications of the three are almost similar, but because they are not a flagship, each made with different advantages. Like the four previous Alcatel smartphones, the TCL 10 Series will also release globally.
The three smartphones above will also use screens created by TCL’s own display division.
TCL 10 5G : a mid-range smartphone with 5G support
TCL introduced a mid-range smartphone with 5G support. The only TCL 10 5G that supports 5G networks through the use of the more powerful Snapdragon 765G chipset.
TCL 10 uses a design that is currently popular. At the front of the TCL 10 5G uses a 6.53-inch LCD screen with punch-holes design in the upper right corner. The fingerprint sensor moved to the rear body because the 6.53-inch screen in front is still an LCD type.
5G Smartphone with Quad-Camera Setup
This smartphone is equipped with a quad-camera setup that is arranged horizontally like the LG G9. The quad-camera setup consists of a 64MP main lens, an 8MP wide-angle lens, a 5MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth lens. Even so, the front camera with a resolution of 16MP.
The TCL 10 5G also includes a 6GB of memory, 128GB of storage, and a 4500mAh battery.
Price and Availability
The TCL 10 5G stands out because it is one of the few 5G smartphones in this price range. The TCL 10 5G will appear on the market in Europe later this year for a suggested retail price of 399 euros. The price is definitely cheaper than most 5G phones that are already on the market today.
